Dear friend,
This time, the devastation reached us directly as the building adjacent to our orphanage was completely destroyed, and the entire area around us turned into a pile of rubble and dust!
Odessa was struck by a threatening and brutal missile attack, and its community dreams of days filled with normalcy and peace. During the night that passed, chaos and suffering engulfed the city, and each one of us is well aware of the terrifying experience. The air was filled with deafening explosions, and the noise seemed endless throughout the night. The city went into lockdown, the lives of its citizens were disrupted, and the children and orphans pleaded for a safe haven.
Currently, the only secure place available is a room in the underground parking lot, but it is not enough to protect the orphans, the elderly, and the sick members of our community.
My wife and I tirelessly work day and night, without rest, to safeguard the children in the orphanage and to assist the other members of the community affected by the attack.
From the beginning of the conflict until a few months ago, when there was relative calm in the Odessa area, my wife traveled with 120 orphans to Germany, while I stayed here in Odessa to continue supporting and helping the remaining members of the community, especially the sick and elderly who couldn't leave. The stay of the children in Germany incurred substantial expenses, and due to the high costs and additional expenses, we had no choice but to bring them back to Odessa.
Now the situation has worsened once again, and we don't know where to turn. It seems we will need to evacuate the orphans from here as soon as possible and find a safe solution and place for the sick and elderly.
We desperately seek your generous assistance; we have no other option but to rely on your help to save them!
Please, do not ignore our plea!
