Dear friend,
My name is Nir Menachem, and I am deeply humbled to reach out to you, but I have no choice as my child's life is in jeopardy.
My son, Lavi, was born 8 years ago and has been perfectly healthy until about a year ago when he began complaining of severe abdominal pains and has been continuously suffering from vomiting and diarrhea.
Upon examination at the hospital, it was determined that he is afflicted with a rare and life-threatening intestinal condition that affects his digestive system and large intestine. In order to save Lavi's life, he urgently needs abdominal surgery at the Children's Hospital in Philadelphia. The cost of this procedure is exceedingly high. The surgery is scheduled for next January, and until then, Lavi cannot live a normal child's life. He requires constant care, daily intensive treatments, and medical supervision to remove the toxins from his body. This situation is temporary, and it cannot persist for long without endangering his life.
The expenses for the surgery and the accompanying treatments are not covered by our health insurance, and aside from the debts we have already accumulated, we have no resources to cover the $200,000 cost of the surgery.
Dear Jewish community, we are a struggling family, and my wife and I have worked tirelessly to provide for our family and children. However, since Lavi's diagnosis, our lives have become incredibly complex. We are forced to remain by his side at the hospital constantly, which has impacted our ability to work. Moreover, due to the costly treatments, we have fallen into a deep pit of debt.
Please, dear Jewish community, have compassion for my child! His life means everything to me; he is only 8 years old and yearns to live! I implore you to open your hearts and help me save him.
I am profoundly grateful to you and wish you happiness, joy, health, and a blessed and prosperous New Year.
Sincerely,
Nir Menachem
